Light illuminates the dust scattered around this subspecies, making their fantastical appearance shimmer softly. Aurora Somnacanth sprays icy blasts in place of sleeping powder, attacking all who dare enter their territory. They use the permanent cold emanating from their bodies to freeze the vicinity, and then the frozen surface to move around swiftly.

Useful Information

It moves by gliding across the ground and closes the distance rapidly while attacking, so you need to be careful even when at a distance.

Some of its attacks trigger cold-air explosions around it, so it’s best to give yourself plenty of room to evade.

If using a melee weapon, targeting its neck is effective; if using a ranged weapon, you should try targeting the head or its surrounding fins. However, be aware that it’s difficult to land hits on the neck using ranged weapons.
